Fresh | Nem chua


Nem chua are Vietnamese fermented sausages.


The sausages are made from ground lean pork, with da bì (pork skin), spices, garlic and nitrite. Usually the meat is packed in small pink packages, but you can also find them in sausage shape.


The sausages are then fermented for 2-5 days before they can be sold. They taste somewhat sour, salty and slightly spicy.Nem chua is eaten raw, especially served as a snack with a nice fresh beer. It can also be further processed into fried rice or salads.
