Frozen | Thai fermented sausages


The Thai fermented sausages are better known as Sai krok Isan (ไส้กรอกอีสาน) which literally translates as Isan sausage (Isan is a region in the Northeast of Thailand). Or in Vietnamese nem lào nướng.


The sausage is made from ground pork, spices, garlic and roasted rice.The rice provides extra flavor and helps ferment the sausages. The sausages taste strongly of herbs and garlic, they are also slightly leavened. Just like the Nem chua sausage, this sausage is served as a snack with fresh chili peppers, pointed cabbage, ginger and a nice cold beer. The Thai fermented sausages are also served with a delicious fresh and spicy papaya salad.
