Panang curry is a kind of red curry that comes from the Thai island of Penang. The panang curry contains peanuts, giving it a nutty undertone.


The curry is therefore the only curry of it's kind that is drier, which means that the curry is stir-fried dry with coconut milk. The curry has a milder taste if you compare it with the traditional red curry. It is mainly made with beef or pork. Usually it's made with less vegtables we are used to in a Thai curry. They mostley use pea eggplant and it is finished with finely chopped kaffir lime leaves and sliced red chili pepers.
