Kho tiêu is mainly made with pork, but can also be made with fish.

It is a stewed dish, which tastes balanced sweet and salty. This dish can be prepared in different ways where the flavors can be slightly different. It is a traditional dish that is often eaten on Vietnamese New Year (it coincides with Chinese New Year). But for many this is also comfort food.
