Mooncake
The mooncake is a Chinese pastry that is eaten during the Moon Festival during the months of September and October. This celebration used to be seen as a 2nd Valentine's Day in China. In Vietnam however, is it previously considered a harvest festival, where they make sacrifices.
Mooncake is an indispensable pastry and has a traditional filling with lotus seed or red bean paste, possibly containing a salted egg yolk. Mooncakes are available in different variants and colors. Deliciously sweet, perfect with a cup of tea.
